Mediocre Expectations

First of all, let me apologize profusely for my absence. It has taken far too long to get back to my writing than even I expected. I wish I had an exciting story about what would keep me away for so long, but sadly, there's not a lot of excitement that happens in the life of a single mom.

I mentioned in my last blog that I was preparing to move to my new house, and that was a long, drawn out process. After my move, I had some major sewing projects to complete. Now I can finally say I’m all moved in, creative projects are complete, and I’m ready to seriously get back to my writing.

Before I update you all though, I’ve realized a lot of things never go as we expect. I honestly expected to have book two published by the end of 2016. But, my expectations are always set way too high in most things and I always get disappointed, especially when it comes to dating and romance. (But that’s a whole different book/blog). To put it simply, what I expect and the actual outcome are always way different.

I do have some new stories that are nagging to get written. I will be venturing into new genres, as well. Unfortunately, until I am lucky enough to write full-time, it will take a while to get them all written. So, please don’t give up on me.

Now for the actual news! The re-writes have been completed on book two, Souls Golden. And I am now on to the arduous task of formatting for uploading. I am not going to set an exact date for publishing just yet, as I know a lot of things can throw a wrench in that. But I will promise that Souls Golden will be published before the end of February. In the meantime, I am updating the synopsis on my website in preparation for its release, so go and take a look!

Back to formatting for me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Shonna
