In case anyone was wondering, I am still alive and kicking.
Life has been extremely busy, to say the least. I’ve been working a lot of hours at the day job. I am also in the process of buying a house, which uses up time, energy and my patience, at times. Not to mention, I've been spending many evenings on the softball field watching my daughter play. But I’m happy to report that softball season is coming to an end this week.
Enough with my sorry excuses for neglecting the blog, now onto the important stuff.
What’s going on with the second book?
I’m so glad you asked. Souls Golden, book two, is currently being edited. I am hoping to be getting some corrected chapters back from my editor very soon, so I can start the agonizing process of making corrections. Have I mentioned how much I hate revising?
I have also sent it out to some test subjects to read over and give me some feedback. I am still waiting to hear back from a couple of people, but here’s what I’ve gotten so far:
“I love it! Not that the first book wasn’t good, but I really love Souls Golden!”
“I re-read both of the books. I really like both, but I think the new one is much better! I’m really excited for the next one!”
Those sentiments are pretty much how I feel about Souls Golden too. I had so much fun writing it and living vicariously through those characters. Not to mention, my writing has evolved...a lot.
In other news, I’m currently having the cover of Souls Eternal re-designed. I’m hoping to get some rough drafts to look over soon, so I can have the cover created for Souls Golden shortly after and in enough time for the release date. And no, I don't have any details of when that will be, just yet. I promise to keep you posted.
I have started writing the third, possibly final, installment of this series. However, I haven't written more than three pages. Did I mention I've been really busy? Once that one is finished and published, I am going to work on another series that I’m really excited to explore. I’ve planned four books in the next series and have at least one other series I want to write, as well as two or three stand-alone books.
The creative juices are flowing, I just have to pace myself, so I don’t burn out. As much as I wish I could spend all day writing and creating, it’s just not possible YET.

When I start selling mass quantities of books, I promise to make that happen. So tell all your friends and leave some reviews on Amazon or wherever you purchased your copy. ;-)
Have I mentioned how very grateful I am to all of you that have purchased my book? I am overflowing with gratitude to you.
Side note: Fun fact about the quote attached to this blog. Anyone that knows me personally knows that I am a serious Joss Whedon worshiper. I love pretty much everything he touches, from his toothbrush to his most popular television shows, so don’t be surprised to see quotes from his work show up in my blog. (I might even have some references in my books.)
That's all for me today!
Thanks for stopping by!
